Meet The Team

All dentists at the practice adheres to the rules governing the profession by following the guidance provided from the General Dental Council, Maintaining Standards. All dentists are registered with the 'GDC', their registration numbers are as follows:

Roy D. Patel - Principal and Clinical Director

Roy Patel qualified at the Royal Dental Hospital, Leicester Square, London.
He has a Masters of Law degree in 'Legal aspect of medical practice'.
After various hospital positions, he was an academic and clinical lecturer at Royal Dental Hospital, Leicester Square and Guys hospital teaching undergraduate students.
He currently gives academic and clinical courses and holds a clinic at the Basingstoke Hospital where he is a Restorative Hospital Practitioner.
He is a specialist in Prosthodontics (anything artificial in the mouth - dentures, bridges, implants etc). Accredited by the G.D.C.
His interests are Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Outside of work he enjoys all sports where a ball and racket are involved! His favourites are golf, cricket, squash and tennis. He is a keen skier.
You'll also see him out and about dog walking and enjoying the countryside.

Abigail Dundas

Abi Dundas qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1998. After hospital posts in restorative dentistry, she went on to take her fellowship exams for the Royal College of Surgeons.
She has been at Cedar Dental Care since May 2002. In this time she has continued to advance her clinical skills, having recently completed her diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from Bristol University, where she was awarded the Marsh Midda prize for outstanding academic achievement in Periodontology. She is an accredited examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and she has also had two children along the way!
Her interests are in all aspects of dentistry, but particularly complex restorative cases and very nervous patients. She is always advancing her skills to provide the most up to date care for her patients.
When she is not at the practice, she is busy taking care of her two girls, in the garden or walking her dogs.

Nicola Trundle

Nikki Trundle qualified from Bristol University Dental School where she was awarded the British Society of Restorative Dentistry Undergraduate prize. She has since aimed to increase her knowledge and skills in more complex areas of dentistry, while maintaining a friendly and caring approach to patient management. Her special interests are Periodontology (the treatment of advanced gum disease) and the treatment of tooth wear. Recently, she has successfully completed the Fellowship assessment and a Restorative Diploma at the Royal College of Surgeons, England.She is currently undertaking a dissertation to achieve an MSc in Restorative Dentistry.
She is an Examiner for the MJDF postgraduate qualification.
Nicola regularly clay pigeon shoots, is a keen skier and enjoys all forms of cookery, particularly baking.

Richard Lewis

Richard Lewis qualified at Kings College Hospital, London. Richard has a very relaxed informal style and is happy providing both simple and more complex treatments as required. He likes to keep up to date with the latest developments and for example is looking forward to offering Invisalign which is the latest way of straightening teeth with clear removable braces.
He is married with six children. He is extremely experienced in general dentistry and enjoys treating patients of all ages.In his spare time he likes to keep fit by swimming regularly and cycling.
He is a keen football supporter and loves watching his childhood team AFC Bournemouth.

Gaurav Obhrai

Gaurav Obhrai

Dr Obhrai qualified at St Bart's and The London Hospital and undertook his vocation at the Oxford Deanery.

He spent some time in New York to further enhance his interest in cosmetic and INVISALIGN dentistry.

In his spare time he enjoys Yoga, Tae Kon Do, and athletics. He is representative of Windsor Slough Eton Athletics Club.

Ian Hollingum - Specialist in Oral Surgery

Mr Ian Hollingum

Ian Hollingum qualified in London in 1977.
He gained the membership of surgical dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons in England and Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 1999.
Apart from a short time in General Dental Practice he has been a specialist in Hospital Oral Surgery both in Scotland and in England for over 30 years providing minor oral surgery. In the last 25+ years he has been working for Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust delivering all aspects of minor oral surgery and dento alveolar.
He is at present a locum consultant and a visiting oral surgeon to Jersey in the Channel islands.
In partnership with Roy Patel, Ian has been providing Dental Implants for over 15 years. 
When not in practice, Ian enjoys Rugby and walking his dog.

Gursharan Minhas - Consultant and Specialist in Orthodontics

Miss Gursharan Minhas

Gursharan Minhas qualified at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals' school of Medicine and Dentistry in 1998 and she undertook her three-year orthodontic specialist training at Guy's & Kings Hospital from 2001 to 2004. She was appointed as a Senior Registrar at The Royal Surrey and Eastman Dental Hospitals in 2005. She is currently a consultant Orthodontist, spending her time between the Royal Surrey County Hospital Foundation Trust and Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  She also holds a degree in Psychology, an area in which she holds a special interest.

Her clinical experience involves personal diagnosis and treatment of adults and children, from cases requiring treatment for simple alignment to severe skeletal discrepancies requiring multi-disciplinary care utilising the latest advances in materials and systems. Her personal commitment is to provide high quality care for all her patients in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Outside of work she is a keen runner and loves trekking and travelling. She has completed a number of marathons and has been to Everest Base Camp, all in aid of charity.  She has recently taken up hot yoga which unifies her passion for a practice requiring stamina as well as achieving peace in mind.
